What is DSLAM?

DSLAM (Digital Subscriber Line Access Multiplexer) is a networking device used in telecoms to provide high-speed internet services over existing telephone lines. It is used at the central office of an Internet Service Provider (ISP) to aggregate the digital signals from multiple customers into a single, high-speed connection to the internet.

DSLAM systems are designed to take the signals from individual subscribers and multiplex them into a single high-speed connection. They do this by using advanced digital signal processing techniques to separate the high-speed data signals from the voice signals and other low-speed signals that are present on the telephone line.

The DSLAM system then sends the high-speed data signals over a dedicated connection to the internet, providing subscribers with fast and reliable internet access. What is ISAM?
